Traffic Engineer - Transportation Planner

URS Corporation, ranked the #1 Design Firm by ENR for seven years running, is seeking a mid-level engineer or planner to join our growing transportation group in Albuquerque. This position involves transportation planning and engineering analysis functions on projects such as interchange feasibility studies, corridor and alignment studies, traffic impact studies, environmental assessments, transportation master plans and access management plans for public and private sector clients. This position also includes marketing and business development activities. We are seeking candidates with a BSCE and a P.E. license or AICP registration. Candidates should have 10 years of experience in transportation planning and engineering, including familiarity with AASHTO design guidelines, NMDOT and FHWA planning and design programs and procedures, including FHWA guidance and requirements for new interchanges on the interstate highway system. Familiarity with the NEPA process and requirements as well as City of Albuquerque standards and procedures are also desired. The successful candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills, and familiarity with traffic software (HCS, Synchro, CORSIM, etc.) and CADD (AutoCAD or MicroStation).
